Information & FAQs

Stay hydrated! It’s super important to take care of yourself in the sauna - drink plenty of water before, during and after your session.

Take off any jewellery to prevent burns and/or ruining your jewellery .

These guidelines are here to make sure that everyone can enjoy their time at Wildcat Sauna. They might be different from other places you’ve used, so please read on…

Staff are here to help. If you aren’t sure about something please just ask and we can help

  • This is a swimmers-on zone. Yes, we know some saunas aren’t but here we ask that everyone wears swimwear.

  • Shower before your sauna session and again before entering the cold plunge so everything stays as fresh as possible.

  • Please, sit on a towel in the sauna. This stops you from coming into contact with really hot wood and helps keep the space clean for everyone.

  • If you would like to add water to the sauna stove, check with other users and pour gently - don’t dump.

  • If you’re new to using a sauna 5 or 10 minutes at a time is likely perfect. 20 minutes is the maximum time to spend in the sauna - even if you are a regular user.

  • Please, step out of the sauna immediately if you begin to feel nauseous, uncomfortable, dizzy or sleepy and let a member of staff know.

  • Please don’t use essential oils - unless authorized by staff.

  • Don’t bring anything made of glass into the sauna.

  • No PDA (public displays of affection) , please. If you’re here with someone you love, that’s beautiful, but please keep it PG.

Sauna Etiquette

Community and Respect

  • We love and encourage people to talk and get to know one another here, but please be respectful. Please don’t comment on other people’s bodies (whether that’s scars or tattoos). Their body = their business.

  • Please don’t assume people's gender. If you don’t know what pronouns someone uses, just ask them or use ‘they’. e.g. ‘What are your pronouns?’ or ‘I think the person in the green shorts left this behind.’, ‘Is that their chair?’

  • Ideally, people come to unwind and step away from screens. It’s best to not use your phone so you can be present with yourself and interact with others here. If you have to use your phone,  please be respectful of other people’s privacy (no photos)

  • The saunas are a space to relax and reconnect, be aware of your volume and  respect other people space.
